A renovation is about more than just building

In hospitality, the space itself is an essential part of the product. Execution must therefore align perfectly with the architect's concept. At the same time, any closure period has an immediate impact on revenue, and factors such as permits and specialized kitchen technology are often beyond one's own control.

Why others choose Zwartwoud

We don't just act as a contractor; we work as a partner alongside your interior architect, from the initial coordination to the day you open your doors.

  • Expert execution of your architect's design
  • A tight schedule to minimize downtime, including navigating the permit process
  • Smart, circular material choices that meet HACCP requirements while remaining financially responsible
  • Close collaboration with your architect to ensure the atmosphere and experience are just right

Sustainability where it fits

For hospitality concepts, design comes first. That makes sense, as the atmosphere largely defines the experience. But that doesn't have to come at the expense of sustainability. Just as with our other projects, we prefer to look at reuse before recycling: together with your architect, we find materials that fit the concept and are given a second life, without this having to be more expensive than a traditional approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

01

Do you also work with our own interior architect?

Yes, that is often the starting point for hospitality concepts. The architect provides the concept, and we take care of the professional, turn-key execution.

02

Do you also arrange the necessary permits?

No, you are responsible for applying for permits (such as an occupancy permit or liquor and catering license) yourself. However, we do factor the processing time into our schedule so that you won't face any surprises.

04

Is it possible to work sustainably without compromising the look and feel of my concept?

Yes, we work with your architect to select materials that fit the concept and can be given a second life. This doesn't have to be more expensive than a traditional approach.

05

Can you also handle the technical side of a professional kitchen?

To be completed.
